Frequently Asked Questions
What allergens does this contain?
This product contains wheat and soya and may contain nuts and milk from the facility where it is made. Anyone with an allergy to these ingredients should not consume this product. Please read the full ingredient list carefully before purchasing.
What are Toasted Pops?
Small, bite-sized baked pieces with the crunch of a rusk, built for snacking rather than dunking. They are made from the same whole wheat dough as the brand's rusks, cut smaller and seasoned, so they eat more like a crisp than a biscuit.
What does "baked, not fried" change?
This kind of snack is normally deep-fried. Baking means the pieces are cooked in an oven instead, so they take up far less oil. Rice bran oil is still used in the dough, so it is a lighter snack rather than a fat-free one.
How spicy is it?
Tangy more than hot. The seasoning leads on cumin, coriander, black salt, mango powder and tamarind, giving a sour-savoury flavour with mild warmth behind it. Most people who avoid spicy food find it comfortable.
What is cultured glucose doing in the ingredients?
It is a fermented ingredient that helps keep the product fresh, used in place of a synthetic preservative. Rosemary extract does a similar job against the oils turning. Both are there for shelf life rather than flavour.
